Shedfest, Various Locations

Shedfest isn’t your typical polished concours, it’s the UK’s ultimate grassroots celebration of “high-mileage heroes, project cars and the people who love them”. Founded by YouTube creator Autoalex, the festival brings together an incredibly eclectic mix of builds, from ropey sheds and daily drivers to classic retro icons and race cars. Documenting multiple Shedfest events, from the packed paddocks of Goodwood Motor Circuit to beautiful surroundings of Bicester Motion; required a departure from traditional automotive event photography.

Instead of focusing solely on static vehicle shots, I covered Shedfest the same way I approach street photography. My goal was to capture the authentic car culture and the community behind the builds. This project is a candid, documentary-style record of the festival. It features editorial lifestyle imagery, unscripted moments in the crowds, and raw portraiture of the owners and enthusiasts. It’s an honest, human-centric perspective on one of the most vibrant dates on the UK automotive calendar.
